Designed to meet ANSI A92.2 testing, the ALT-120/60 delivers up to 120 kV for boom testing and up to 7 kVA of power for testing nearly all liners and other high capacitance loads requiring an AC withstand test. The 0 60 kVac/0 120 kVac model ALT-120/60 provides a power rating of 7 kVA capacitive for one hour 4 kVA resistive continuous duty. It offers a 250 uA current meter range, rugged, transit protected, anti-static glass front meters, a guard/ground circuit, test timer, and an internal voltmeter divider.
The HV Inc ALT-120/60 AC hipot tester is a portable high voltage AC test set that is rugged, reliable, economical, contains advanced features and provides long term duty ratings. The ALT-120 is designed to provide continuously adjustable AC output up to 120 kV with a full kVA tap at 60 kV and is rated for 7 kVA of power, enabling it to meet all testing requirements. The generous duty rating allows many tests to be performed sequentially or use the unit for other extended time testing applications.
The HV Inc ALT-120/60 AC hipot tester also incorporates transit protection meter circuits, an optional capacitive load current cancellation circuit which allows the user to read resistive currents, guard/ground return for isolating ground currents to measure leakage current or total current, zero start high voltage and external safety interlock provision, a cable storage area, internal kilovolt meter divider resistors (no external voltmeter divider), test timer circuit and ruggedized meters with glass windows that eliminate static build up.
