OMICRON's coupling capacitors can alleviate the problems associated with setting up a partial discharge measurement (PD) system, whilst still meeting the high standards required for PD analysis.
The MCC 205 coupling capacitor connects the MPD 600 and the high voltage test object to enable partial discharge measurements.The MCC 205, rated to 50 kV (rms/phase to earth), is designed with the quadripole measuring impedance built in and includes a dedicated space for the MPD measuring unit and the MPP power pack. Thus, the measuring cable lengths are kept to a minimum with consequent improvements in the quality of the PD measurement. Due to the mounted wheels, it is easy to handle and move.
